WHY: super fresh fish. staff with aussie accents. RECOMMEND (entree): the Snappa - it’s not a ‘fishy’ fish, but get that thing fried. the batter’s light, crispy and golden. totally harmless. RECOMMEND (side): the corn + crab ragout - a bright, colorful medley of corn, lump crab meat, red peppers, and some other stuff… not sure what it is, but it doesn’t matter....

WHY: not as lame as you think. it’s an unassuming bar & grill with a solid menu. RECOMMEND #1: calamari salad - a creative mix of lightly-fried calamari, guacamole and diced mango over romaine. wild, but good. WHY: cozy, quaint, BYOB bistro. go for brunch. it’s off the beaten path of the bustling, one-hour wait, LES hotspots. RECOMMEND: Mediterranean breakfast (two eggs, labane, chopped salad). Get those eggs poached, my friend. Oh, and BYOBottle of champagne. LOWER EAST SIDE: 112 Suffolk St. (between Delancey St & Rivington St)
